Bora Bora lagoon tour prices

A day on the lagoon is the one excursion nearly every Bora Bora visitor books, and the prices look similar until you check what is in them. Here is what each tour costs in 2026 and what you get for it.

Booking choice: The Lagoon Service full day, from $172 per person. Check dates Compare the options below

Every price on this page is a from-price per person in US dollars on Viator in October 2026, rounded to the dollar. They move with the season and availability, so the checkout price is the one that counts.

The useful comparison is not the headline number but what it buys: how many hours, whether lunch on a motu is included, whether pickup is, and how many people share the boat.

The quick answer

What does the $172 Lagoon Service price include?

Pickup by boat from listed hotels and points, snorkel gear, towels, bottled water, soft drinks and a buffet lunch of local dishes on a motu.

The day has three snorkel stops (stingrays in the shallows, a coral garden and a shark stop) before the motu lunch, and up to 12 travelers share the covered canoe. Nothing else is listed as excluded, so apart from a tip, there is little to pay on the day. Alcoholic drinks are not on the list of inclusions.

Is it cheaper to book elsewhere?

Not clearly: another seller, Manawa, lists the same full day from 151 euros, which is in the same range as Viator's $172.

Viator's from-price includes its fees and free cancellation for a full refund up to 24 hours before. On an island where wind can cancel a boat trip, that flexibility is worth something. If the lowest fare matters most and your dates are fixed, compare other sellers before you book.

Prefer flexibility? The Viator booking cancels free up to 24 hours before the tour.

Do children pay less?

Yes. Lagoon Service has a discounted child rate for ages 4 to 12, and most other operators discount children too.

Age bands differ by operator: Vavau's child rate covers ages 3 to 11, Manu's 5 to 11 and Reef Discovery's 4 to 12. Lagoon Service's Viator listing lets infants up to 3 sit on a lap, while another seller's description of the same day (Manawa) says from 4 years, so ask first if you travel with a baby. How much do you save with a half day?

About $38 on Lagoon Service: the half day is $134 for four hours without lunch, against $172 for the full day with lunch on a motu.

The extra money buys the motu lunch and two more hours. If you are short on time the half day is good value; if you want the long lunch with music and a swim, the full day is the one guests rave about. See half day vs full day.

Which full day is the best value?

It depends what you want: Manu's is the cheapest and longest, Vavau's adds port pickup and a manta ray search, and Lagoon Service's has the most reviews.

Manu's full day is $143 for seven hours, but towels, fins and sunscreen are not included. Vavau's cruise is $153 with hotel or port pickup, a manta ray search and a buffet lunch on a private motu, for up to 16 travelers; gratuities are extra. Lagoon Service's $172 day caps the group at 12 and has 1,702 reviews at 5.0. Rohivai's $193 small-group day adds fruit juices, with a minimum of four travelers to run.

All the full days stop at coral gardens; the motu lunches differ.

Are there extra costs on the day?

Not many: on Lagoon Service's day only tips and any drinks beyond the soft drinks; on some other tours, gratuities, towels or fins.

Vavau and Moana list gratuities as not included; Manu asks you to bring your own towel and fins; Rohivai excludes alcoholic drinks and snacks. The 4WD tour charges a pickup fee for hotels off the main island.

How far ahead should you book?

As soon as your dates are firm: cancellation is free up to 24 hours before, so booking early costs nothing.

Groups are small (12 travelers at most on Lagoon Service's canoe), so check your date early. Book for the first half of your stay, so a weather cancellation leaves time to rebook.
